How to:  Create a New Project from an Existing Project Plan

To create a new project plan by copying from the existing project plan.  This feature will saves a lot of time especially when your organization has a lot of similar projects.

1.     Highlight the project plan from the Project Center to copy the project structure.

2.     Select Project…Create Projects…New From Current Project Plan.  The New Project screen is displayed.

3.     Give the new project a name by entering it in the New Project screen.

4.     Select Copy Project Plan Structure to copy the task folders from the highlighted project plan in a tree folder structure format in EasyTaskLink. 

5.      Select Copy Project Plan Structure and Tasks to completely copy the task folders and tasks from the highlighted project plan.  This feature gives you an option to copy the Task Description, Assignee and Attachments in the new project plan.  You may also copy the Project Plan Start Date or create a new Start Date.

6.     Click OK to copy the project plan and return to the Project Center.
